Tiffany Gentry (Senior, Biology) has been awarded an Alice Eastwood Scholarship from the Colorado Native Plant Society. The scholarship, which was established by Professor Emeritus Leo P Bruederle, commemorates the early career of Alice Eastwood in Denver (1879-1892) who, as a self-trained botanist became an important contributor to a better understanding of the flora of the Southern Rocky Mountains. Recipients are undergraduates pursuing bachelor’s degrees that ultimately advance the mission of the Society, including botany, ecology, conservation, landscape architecture, horticulture, or environmental science. Tiffany matriculated at CU Denver, where Integrative Biology is providing her with the foundation to turn her passion for our native flora into a career in conservation.
