Ecology and evolution of flower microbes
Flowers are essential to plant reproduction and pollinator health. Yet little is known about the microbial communities that inhabit this transient interface between plants and pollinators. In this seminar, I present recent research addressing how microbes present in flowers influence floral phenotype and pollinator foraging, and how one microbial group seems to have evolved to take advantage of opportunities in the floral environment.
Everyone is welcome to join the seminar, please see the Zoom link above.
