Updated Plans to Celebrate May 2020 Graduates Include:

Option 1- Regalia Rental for Photos

  • New orders for regalia, announcements, diploma frames, caps, tassels and more can be placed here.
  • Requests for converting already placed order for home-shipping or requests for refunds can be placed here.
  • Shipping is complimentary for cap and gown items.
  • All orders and requests must be received by May 16, 2020.

Option 2- Virtual Ceremony with Graduate Custom Slides and Name Reading

  • Graduates will receive unique, individual links in their inboxes inviting them to submit photos and expressions of gratitude to those who assisted in their achievement to be diplayed in the ceremony. 
  • Submissions must be received by noon on Tuesday, April 28, 2020.

Option 3- December 11 Ceremony for May Graduates

  • ​RSVP for this ceremony to be notified when registration opens.

Option 4- Diploma Cover & Program Shipping

  • Graduates who cannot attend the in-person ceremony in December and would like to receive a diploma cover and 3 copies of the program with their name in it, should fill out this form.
  • Mailing will begin in late May. All requests must be received by May 16, 2020.​

Graduates can select ​multiple options to select those that best fit their future plans, family travel, and their personal budgets.

All students who complete their degree requirements in the spring semester will receive their official, printed diplomas in the mail in July.

Commencement honors the achievement of one's academic goals and the beginning of the next vocational commitment. CU Denver ceremonies occur twice a year in December and May. Summer graduates are invited to participate in the fall ceremony. Participation in commencement is permitted only after a student has completed all of their degree requirements and has applied to graduate.

Tickets are not required for either commencement ceremony.
