Andrés Andrade (PhD candidate in Dr. Diana Tomback's lab) was recently elected as the new student representative of the Vegetation section of the Ecological Society of America (ESA).  Andrés and the new section chair were introduced to section members last week during the 2019 ESA meeting in Louisville, Kentucky.  The mission of the Vegetation section is to promote scientific research and the dissemination of results on all aspects of vegetation science and offers competitive travel and research merit awards for the annual ESA meeting.  Photo, from left to right: George Malanson (former section chair), Michelle Talal (former student representative), Kyle Palmquist (new section chair), and Andrés Andrade (new student representative).
