GES Colloquium: Urban climate hazards - tracking air pollution and heat in Denver

Published: Feb. 2, 2026

As cities grow, so do the climate risks facing their residents. Join us on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM in NC 3210 for a presentation on ongoing research into extreme heat and air pollution at key urban spaces in Denver, including bus stops, and what it means for community health and equity. Speakers Priyanka deSouza (Assistant Professor, Urban and Regional Planning) and Ben Crawford (Assistant Professor, Geography and Environmental Sciences) will share their findings using thermal imaging and mobile air quality monitoring tools.
