I am a GIS developer with proficient knowledge in the use of GIS (as well as a strong foundation and knowledge of the concepts of GIScience and Technology) to improve society’s understanding of the world. Due to an extensive computer science background, I also develop web-based GIS and geospatial applications, harnessing the latest in web technologies in an attempt to tap into the exciting new potential of the integration of traditional GIS with collaborative, accessible, realtime, dynamic, and crowd-sourced data opportunities that the web offers. I primarily use Free and Open Source Software for Geography (QGIS, GRASS, PostGIS, MapServer) but I also am proficient with enterprise GIS packages like ArcGIS (Including ArcScene, ArcGlobe, and ModelBuilder) and ENVI.
