Behavioral Exercise Neuroscience Laboratory

Welcome!

Research in the Behavioral Exercise Neuroscience Laboratory (BENLAB) seeks to understand the underlying neurobiological mechanisms by which physical activity impacts behavior, focusing primarily on depression, anxiety, and learning and memory of traumatic events. Identification of these mechanisms could reveal novel targets for the treatment of common mental health disorders, as well as encourage people to exercise.
