Junior grew up in the Far Northeast Denver area. He attended the University of Colorado Denver and obtained a bachelor’s degree in English writing and two minors in Spanish and ethnic studies before earning his master's degree in secondary education. Currently pursuing a PhD in Critical studies through the School of Education and Human Development at CU Denver.
