Chloe East, Assistant Professor of Economics, received a highly-competitive NIH grant to study the long run and multigenerational effects of safety net programs on individuals' health and economic well-being. The 5-year grant will support research that will expand the understanding of the potential benefits of these programs (e.g. Medicaid and Food Stamps) as well as the potential for policies to improve intergenerational mobility. This work is joint with Marianne Bitler, Marianne Page, Greg Duncan, Tim Bruckner and Maria Fernanda Rosales Rueda.
The Plaza Building will remain closed through Jan. 1, 2025.
