Prior to earning her doctoral degree in Communication at The University of Southern Mississippi, she earned a master’s degree in Journalism from Shanghai International Studies University, a top university in China. Her academic career largely took place after many years of employment in the corporate. Her more than ten years of professional experience includes serving as corporate strategic communication director for two leading finance groups, working as a senior financial journalist for two Chinese mainstream financial media outlets, and working as a market research executive for the global second largest market research group in Shanghai and Beijing. These real-world experiences undergird her perspective and impart a dynamic and impactful approach to teaching and studying communication. Her background is a great advantage and definitely benefits the ICB students. Serving as a cultural ambassador helping to merge U.S.-style pedagogies with Chinese cultural practices is always her dream and passion.
