I am a justice involved Army veteran with 12 years of service, a passion for people, and a deep hunger for community and communication. I earned my certificate in Strategic Communication while incarcerated through CU Denver’s Prison Education Program and continue to be involved with the program as a member of their Prison Education Advisory Board. I am a motivational speaker for and Vice President of the Veterans Justice League in Colorado Springs, CO. Our organization seeks to connect justice involved veterans with active-duty service members to create prevention within the military. I enjoy music composition, educational development, and teaching others about emotional, mental, and spiritual fitness. My commitment to non-profit organizations and supporting justice-involved veterans is reflected by my personal journey and professional and educational passions. Having experienced incarceration, I am devoted to raising awareness and providing education to those inside and outside of the prison system.
