Meghan R. Cosgrove is a doctoral candidate in the Communication Studies Department at Colorado State University and a member of the team running UCD’s College-in-Prison Program as an instructor and student support liaison. She is one of the coeditors of the annual prison arts magazine, Captured Words/Free Thoughts. Cosgrove has worked on two federally funded projects—a citizen science project working to improve how we measure workplace health and safety funded by the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health and an exploration of hospice care in U.S. prisons funded by the National Institute of Health’s National Institute on Aging. Her scholarly interests include organizational communication, incarceration, community reentry, and social justice. Her essays have appeared in The Review of Communication, Rhetoric of Health and Medicine, The International Journal of Business Communication, and Liminalities.
