Darren Smith serves as the Executive Director of Remerg, where he leads efforts to connect justice-impacted individuals to education, resources, and coordinate support systems that drive successful reentry. With over a decade of experience in nonprofit finance, operations, and higher education, he’s focused on building equitable infrastructures that expand opportunity. A U.S. Army veteran, Darren is committed to advancing access to higher education in prison and strengthening pathways grounded in dignity, stability, and long-term success across Colorado.
