Qian Yee Fam, also known as Jenny Fam, is from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. She has a wide array of experience in the higher education industry, focusing on International Studies and Study Abroad. Before joining the University of Colorado Denver, Jenny served as the International Recruitment Officer for the University of Bristol, UK taking care of students from the Southeast Asia region. At CU Denver, she mainly works with CLAS students under the International College Beijing Program, based in Beijing.
Jenny found her passion for the higher education back when she was an Orientation Leader, through the rewarding experience helping students navigate and transition into life in the United States. She graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and Master’s of Education in Education Leadership focusing in Higher Education from William & Mary. Jenny also speaks four languages, English, Mandarin, Cantonese and Malay, and is trying to pick up a fifth language.
In her free time Jenny enjoys exploring the city of Beijing, listening to music, and trying out new food. She also has a goal to visit all Disney Parks in the world, and is only left with Shanghai and Hong Kong on the list!
