Initial Advising for New Transfer Students
Welcome to CU Denver! As an incoming transfer student into the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS), your initial academic advising requirement is to complete a Transfer Advising Group Session (TAGS). At this session, a CLAS Academic Advisor will review your official transfer credit evaluation and degree audit, provide an overview of advising and degree requirements and will be able to assist with your initial course registration process. Your college advising hold will be removed at the TAGS, and you will be assigned to a designated CLAS Academic Advisor the next business day after the session you attended.
If you have been admitted for the summer or fall 2019 semester, please complete an online self-paced module to prepare for TAGS. At the end of the module there will be a link to sign-up for an in-person or live virtual Transfer Advising Group Session (TAGS).
*Please Note: If you are admitted for the fall 2019 semester, in addition to TAGS, you will also need to complete an online university Transfer Orientation through Canvas. This university orientation will be available starting April 8th on the New Student Orientation website.
We look forward to working with you soon!
