Karen Peirce is a Colorado native, and started her college advising career in Southern California over 15 years ago.  She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with a minor in family studies from the University of Arizona, and her Master of Arts degree in School Counseling from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. Karen has worked at several colleges in California and Colorado, and has a background in outreach as well as advising. Karen is also a certified life coach, and is passionate about helping students to navigate through life challenges as they accomplish their goals. She joined the CLAS advising team in August of 2018

Family and friends are everything to Karen. She loves spending time with her husband and two sons camping, skiing, hiking, cooking, and traveling. Their household also includes an energetic lab, Princeton, and a sweet cocker spaniel mix, Roxy, who are a big part of their family.
