Public Health Students Win 2024 RaCAS Awards

Congratulations to students in CU Denver’s Public Health BA/BS program who presented research and won awards at The 2024 Research and Creative Activities Symposium (RaCAS) on April 26. Maleeha K. Shah was the recipient of the President’s Sustainability Solutions: Policy, Society and Community Award for a project entitled, “Maternal Mental Health: A Qualitative Interview Study of Mothers and Maternal Health Providers in the United States.” Stefanie Vargas, Ruth Hundie, and Luis Vargas were recipients of the President’s Sustainability Solutions: Environment and Technology Award for a project entitled, “Exploring how the 2023 El Niño Evolved in Peru, Ecuador, the U.S. & Australia: Implications for Disaster Risk Reduction & Climate Justice.” For a list of all the presentations, winners, and mentors, please visit this site: https://symposium.foragerone.com/2024-racas.
