Remarkable students in GES are taking experiential learning to new heights interning with the National Park Service

Through an agreement Associate Professor Rafael Moreno created for the Department of Geography and Environmental Sciences, Caroline Hildebrand, Morgan Cameron, and David Smith have all been improving the digital capabilities of public lands. When we think of our outdoor spaces more trees than technology may come to mind, but these CU in the City students know that our modern world requires functioning infrastructure to keep our remote places managed, and through GIS and other high-tech endeavors they are making an impact before they even have their degrees.
