Kayla was born and raised in Thornton, Colorado, and currently serves as the Business Services Professional for the Department of Political Science at the University of Colorado Denver, a role she began on July 1, 2025. Prior to this position, she worked as an Administrative Assistant in the Department of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences.
She studied to be a Social Studies Teacher and, in the Fall of 2021, earned her B.A. in History with a Secondary Social Studies Licensure from Metropolitan State University of Denver. She hopes to further her educational journey by attaining her master’s degree from CU Denver in the near future.
Kayla is excited to use her background in education and administrative experience to support students, staff, and faculty alike, working to promote excellence and enrich the overall institutional experience. Kayla is eager to help foster opportunities and engagement within the CLAS staff community, with a strong focus on equity and inclusivity in the workplace.
Off campus, she enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, and snowboarding, as well as adventuring all over Colorado and the country with her fiancé, Dan.
