CLAS Staff Council Nominations

CLAS Staff Council seeks new member nominations for the 2024 – 2025 academic year. A minimum of 9 open seats are expected to be available.

If you are interested in becoming a member of the CLAS Staff Council, please complete this form by 5:00 pm, Monday, May 6th.

CLAS Staff Council member are expected to:

  • Serve for at least 1 year (Term runs from July 1, 2024 – June 30, 2025).
  • Request time to perform CLAS Staff Council functions with their immediate supervisor.
  • Be an active participant by regularly attending at least 75% of official CLAS Staff Council meetings, committee meetings, and council activities.
  • When at all possible, notify the CLAS Staff Council Secretary in advance of missing a meeting
  • Disseminate information regarding CLAS Staff Council business and activities to constituents.
  • Bring concerns and questions from constituents to CLAS Staff Council members and to the CLAS Dean, as appropriate.

Our Mission

The CLAS Staff Council advocates for and promotes the interests of CLAS staff through professional development opportunities, building community, and serving in an advisory capacity to the Dean of CLAS in matters of staff interests and needs. Our goal is to promote a positive and collaborative work community. We strive to represent the voice of CLAS staff in college initiatives through education, advocacy, and outreach.

2024 Meeting Schedule

CLAS Staff Council meets monthly on Monday from 11:00 am - 12:30 pm, and can be attended either in person or by Zoom, and are open to all CLAS staff. Once finalized, specific dates for each monthly meeting below will be included. Please email michelle.medal@ucdenver.edu to RSVP and receive meeting details.

2024-2025 Election

Consider running for the council next year! Elections are held each spring in May. The strength and vitality of the council stems directly from the people who serve, and each additional perspective is greatly valued. Tentative 2024 election dates are below.
