Note: Numbing, hyperarousal, effortful avoidance, and re-experiencing are all averages of scale items on a 5-point scale ranging from 1 (“not at all”) to 5 (“extremely”). Marital satisfaction is an average of items ranging from 1 (extremely dissatisfied) to 7 (extremely satisfied). Positive bonding is an average of items ranging from 1 (strongly disagree) to 7 (strongly agree). All conflict items are z-scores of the original means.
Intervention Moderation Results
These results are from models testing whether intervention condition (PSB or TAU) moderated either the within- or between-subject effects of PTSD clusters on marital functioning outcomes. Specifically, these models add to our original models the interactions between intervention group and the within-subject (PTSDw) and between-subject (PTSDb) PTSD cluster variables; the coefficients and p-values below are the test statistics for these interaction terms. We also added a main effect of intervention condition on the outcome grand intercept in order to control for any overall group differences in outcome based on intervention (data on main effects of the intervention are published elsewhere).
