Mission

Mission

The mission of the Relationship Studies Lab is to advance basic and applied science regarding adaptive and maladaptive relationship processes, including how they interact with mental and physical health. Students in the lab contribute to this goal and are supported in their efforts to develop knowledge and skills in these areas. Depending on the stage of projects, members of the lab may be engaged in collaborative conceptualization of research ideas and design methods, data collection and analysis, project management, and/or dissemination of research findings at conferences and in peer-reviewed journals. All activities in the lab, from how we interact with our participants to the analyses we publish, are conducted in an ethical manner. We are committed to fostering a culture of inclusion in our lab as well as conducting research that has relevance for diverse groups.
