This year, the CU Denver Political Science Department has been privileged to receive a number of prestigious awards for students, staff, faculty, and alumni!

• Two undergraduate students, Ali Al Nazzal and Juan Gonzalez, were recipients of CU Denver's Outstanding Undergraduate Award! Ali Al Nazzal was the Fall 2023 recipient and Juan Gonzalez was the recipient for Spring 2024. They were each selected as the sole awardee out of all College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Bachelor of Arts students. We are proud to have had students from our department win this award for two consecutive semesters!
• Business Operations Coordinator Angie Schmitt was recognized for her exceptional administrative work and committment to student support, receiving both the CLAS Outstanding Student Engagement Award and the University of Colorado Denver Exemplary Student Support Award!
• Professor Harv Bishop received CU Denver's Excellence in Teaching Award, representing CLAS for his dedication to student success and learning!
• Alum Donalyn White was the recipient of the prestigeous CU GOLD award, which recognizes one outstanding graduate of the last decade!

Finally, we would like to recognize the retirement of Professor Glenn Morris. Professor Morris has been an expert and dedicated advocate in indigenous law and policy for over 30 years, and he has been a valued member of our department for decades. He will be greatly missed, but we wish him all the best in his well-earned retirement!
