A vortex air cannon demonstrating the Bernoulli effect.
From Arbor Scientific:
A takeoff from the old Trashcan Air Cannon; this amazing new vortex launcher sends a strong blast of air all the way across the room! No batteries or fuel needed. Just point and shoot! Powerful and accurate!
It's great for:
Showing that air is a form of matter
Demonstrating the Bernoulli effect
Blowing out candles from 20 feet away!
Creating amazing vortices!
Making 6 inch smoke rings (with a fog generator)!
Waking daydreaming students!

Bicycle wheel includes metal pegs on the axle to hold on to, as well as a string to hand the wheel.
From Arbor Scientific:
Don't just explain it, allow students to experience angular momentum! Spin this bicycle wheel gyroscope, hold the handles, and try to change its axis of rotation. The faster it spins, the harder it is to tip over! Stand on our Rotating Platform to experiment with gyroscopic precession and learn how satellites steer. Best of all, the large 24in (61cm) diameter allows for better results.

Future Demo
Location: NC1001; Red Shelf 2, Bin 3
Demonstrates conservation of energy. Includes magnetic panels to change weight distribution.
From Arbor Scientific:
A Captivating Energy Demonstration.
If you've ever watched a coin spinning on a tabletop, then you've got to see Euler's Disk. Constructed of heavy metal and a smooth concave surface, this device elegantly demonstrates conservation of energy and angular momentum. Just give the disk a twist and watch it spin and roll for an amazingly long time! Can your students explain why the disk rotates for so long, or why it rotates faster as it gets closer to the surface? Explanations can range from simple statements of energy conservation to complex physics equations such as the work of Leonhard Euler (Oiler), for whom the disk is named. Mirror is 9 inches in diameter!

Ring Stands Blue Floor, Bin 5
Projectile path analysis demo, the monkey disk is hung from its electromagnetic "tree" (attached to a ring stand--not included), the shooter is angled and projectile shot. Requires two (x2) AA batteries.
From Arbor Scientific:
The Problem of the Monkey and the Hunter: Now you can demonstrate this classic discrepant event!
It's one thing to analyze the math of this classic physics problem. But when students actually see the bullet's projectile path and the monkey's free fall they're not just convinced that the hunter will hit his target, they're amazed at the power of science!
In this apparatus, the "monkey" (a disk) hangs from its "tree" (an electromagnet) up to 4 feet away from the ball launcher (the hunter). Align the hunter using the laser sight, aim the ball directly at the monkey, pull back the plunger, and release. At the instant the ball is launched, power to the electromagnet is interrupted, causing the monkey to fall. Show that the ball will hit the monkey every time provided that the launcher is aimed at the monkey before firing. 2 AA batteries included. The Required Ring stand must have a diameter of 3/8” or 9mm.
Ring stand and C-clamp not included. It is important to note, that in order for the Monkey and Hunter to work accurately, you must clamp the base of bracket using a standard “C” clamp to the desktop or lab stand.
