Kathy White

Kathy A. White (she/her/hers) is the executive director of the Colorado Fiscal Institute (CFI), a research and advocacy organization that promotes economic and fiscal policies that advance equity and widespread prosperity. During her more than 20-year career, White has been known as a veteran advocate for policies that enhance economic security for working families. She has championed effective tax credits for low-income families with children, values-based budget priorities, unemployment insurance reforms that benefit working people, and policies that recognize the economic contributions of immigrants. White served as the deputy director of CFI from 2012 until 2021, and before conducting policy research for a national health insurance company. White holds an M.H. from the University of Colorado Denver.
