Philosophy and Everyday Life Scholarship

Please provide the following information to apply for the Philosophy and Everyday Life Scholarship

The application deadline for this scholarship is April 30th for the Spring semester, and November 30th for the Fall semester

To be eligible for this scholarship you must:

  1. Currently be enrolled at CU Denver,

  2. Have declared a CU Denver Philosophy major, a Philosophy minor, an Ethics minor, - or - 
    Be currently enrolled in your 3rd Philosophy course at CU Denver,

  3. Also, you must have completed a minimum of 15 credit hours at CU Denver.

Preference will be given to applicants who:

  • Have declared as a CU Denver Philosophy major, minor, or Ethics minor,

  • Have a cumulative G.P.A. of 3.25 or higher

  • Are enrolled for at least 6 credit hours during the current semester

In a typed (double-spaced) 500-700 word essay explain the impact philosophy has had, does have, or will have upon your life and the lives of others outside of your academic studies. Your essay will be blind-reviewed. Focus your essay on one of the following three areas: A.) Ethics in Action B.) Philosophy in Social Action C.) Impact of Philosophy in Everyday Life.
