Their award-winning article, “Parking Towards √2, One Fraction at a Time,” was published in Math Horizons and recognized for outstanding expository mathematical writing. The MAA praised the piece for being engaging and accessible, guiding readers from foundational counting ideas through parking functions and into a surprising connection with the continued fraction representation of √2. The article also highlights how math discovery happens in real time, including the role of the Online Encyclopedia of Integer Sequences in uncovering patterns and asking the next good question.
