Pedal Into World Bicycle Day: Your Guide to Biking at CU DenverPedestrians and a cyclist pass a tree-filled campus green on a sunny day.

Today, June 3rd, marks World Bicycle Day — a global celebration of cycling as a sustainable, healthy, and accessible mode of transportation. For students at CU Denver, it's also a good reminder of just how bike-friendly the Auraria Campus really is. Denver's bike lane network spans more than 20 miles throughout the city, and the Auraria Campus has the infrastructure to back it up.

Park it safely (and for free) CU Denver students have access to covered bicycle parking at three locations across campus— the Tivoli Parking Garage, 10th St Plaza by the Arts Building, and on Larimer St. next to the North Building. Just get your campus ID encoded through Facilities Services and you're in. Bonus: register your bike with the Auraria Campus Police Department for extra peace of mind.

Need a tune-up? The Lola & Rob Salazar Student Wellness Center's Bike Shop has you covered for tuning, fixing, and adjustments — so no excuse to roll up on a squeaky chain.

This World Bicycle Day, consider trading your commute for a ride. The campus is ready when you are.
