Two student teams based in ICB earned an OUTSTANDING rating at the SCUDEM–SIMIODE Challenge, a national challenge that focuses on applying differential equations to model real-world problems. The teams demonstrated strong analytical thinking, collaborative problem-solving, and effective use of mathematical modeling throughout the competition. Their success reflects both student dedication and the strength of applied mathematics education at ICB.
The teams were advised by the faculty, Thomas Dunn, whose mentorship and guidance supported the students through the modeling process and competition timeline.
This achievement highlights the continued excellence of ICB students and faculty in interdisciplinary, project-based learning. Congratulations to both teams and their advisor on this outstanding accomplishment.
