CU Denver Chemistry Professor Woonghee Lee recently played a prominent role in a significant international workshop titled "Cutting-Edge Techniques in NMR and Mass Spectrometry." Professor Lee delivered the keynote address, "Advancing Automated Protein Chemical Shift Assignments through AI/ML/CV."
The five-day event, held from July 1 to 5, brought together leading scientists, researchers, and industry professionals from around the globe to explore the fundamental principles and advanced applications of Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) and Mass Spectrometry. These analytical techniques are vital for scientific discovery and innovation across diverse fields. Professor Lee's participation underscores CU Denver's commitment to contributing to global scientific discourse and advancing knowledge in critical research areas.
Throughout the conference, Professor Lee shared his expertise and insights on these crucial topics with a broad audience of peers and emerging talents in the scientific community. His participation reinforces CU Denver's reputation as a hub for cutting-edge research in this area.
The workshop was hosted by VIT-AP University in Amarvati, India, which was recently named an international partner institution through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with CU Denver spearheaded by Professor Lee. Among the key organizers from VIT-AP was Professor Adilakshmi Dwarasala, who previously conducted postdoctoral research at CU Denver under Professor Lee's mentorship. Professors Lee and Dwarasala look forward to developing strong and enduring academic ties between faculty at our two institutions.
