Dr. Masoud Mahmoodi-Shahrebabaki from the CU Denver English Department recently published an article, "Relationships Between Reading Attitude, Metacognitive Awareness of Reading Strategies and Reading Motivation" in the Journal of Interdisciplinary Studies in Education.
The article examines the connections between reading attitudes, motivation, and metacognitive awareness of reading strategies among adult learners of English as a Foreign Language (EFL). Based on data from 97 intermediate EFL learners, the study highlights the role of metacognitive awareness in mediating the relationship between attitudes and motivation.
