Christy Doon is the City Administrator for the City of Salida. Prior to this role, Chrsity was the Regional Manager for the Department of Local Affairs for South Central Colorado. She worked for the State beginning in 2006, first as program staff for the Conservation Trust Fund, Community Services Block Grant and Community Development, then as the Coordinator for the Colorado Main Street Program. In 2012, Christy served as the Regional Manager. In her capacity with DOLA, Christy worked hand in hand with local communities, providing resources, technical assistance and guidance. She served as a liaison between local governments, the state, and federal resources and served as the program manager for the Cathy Shipley Best and Brightest Internship Program. Christy earned her Masters’ Degree from the University of Colorado Denver’s Center for New Directions in 2006. She teaches Human Resource Management and Leadership Development at Adams State University in their MPA program.
