Hi! I am a first year majoring in Education and English, on track to be a secondary education English teacher. My hobbies include reading, teaching and playing music, traveling, and spending time with my friends. I also enjoy playing with my dogs when I go home over breaks. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns, I am excited to work with you all during my first semester as an LA!
Kelci Ray
I’m a junior majoring in English Lit and Film and double-minoring in Psychology and Sociology. I want to work in the publishing industry when I graduate. My hobbies include creative writing (you probably could have guessed that), reading fiction (also guessable), and watching improv comedy (see, not entirely predictable). I love trying to calculate the chances for life to survive on places beyond Earth, despite the fact that they’re consistently low. I’m excited to be returning as an LA!
Laz Gonzalez
I'm a returning LA & a junior here at CU Denver! I'm majoring in Illustration and minoring in Psychology. I've thoroughly enjoyed being an LA the past two semesters and I look forward to helping you all this semester!
Nichole Gutierrez
I am a senior in HDFR. I am ultimately going for a dual master's degree in Social Work and Family Law. I have one daughter who is ten years old. My hobbies include color by number and running the Colfax marathon every year. Let's play two truths and a lie. I am 99 percent deaf. I am the youngest of 16. I eat a vegan, gluten-free, and sugar-free diet.
San Luong
I am a third-year biochemistry major (Pre-Pharmacy) at CU Denver. I enjoy working with others and helping break down difficult concepts in a way that feels less overwhelming. I believe learning is a process, and it’s okay to make mistakes along the way. I hope to create a welcoming and supportive space where students feel comfortable asking questions, sharing ideas, and growing more confident in their learning.

Hello! I am an Electrical Engineering major planning to minor in Physics, with a strong interest in research at CU Denver. I am particularly interested in the intersection of electrical engineering and physics, especially in quantum-related systems and applications. I enjoy working through problems conceptually and helping others understand not just how to solve them, but why the solutions work. I'm excited to work with all of you in this upcoming semester, and wish you luck in your classes!
Andy Nguyen
Hi! I am a senior majoring in psychology and fell in love with physics after taking it with Dr. Gifford. I love to play the piano, organ, and enjoy playing Fortnite. I am looking forward to meeting everyone and working with you, cheers!
Eunese Downs
I am a biology major who has a deep passion for almost all things Science. I am very approachable and always looking forward to helping others, especially in ways I have needed help myself before. Physics can be challenging, but I can say from experience that with a helping hand, you can learn so many awesome things about light, sound waves, and even peacock feathers!

Hello! I'm a junior in my second year of physics courses, and this is my second time being a physics LA. In school I love many areas of science, philosophy, and other fields, but I'm especially interested in physics, with the current goal of going into some form of physics research. Outside of school I love listening to and making music, working on and driving cars, playing videogames, and being in out in nature. I hope this semester goes well for everyone, and that I can help you all achieve your goals in and out of school!

Keilinh Huynh (003, 007)
Hi!! I am a third year at CU Denver, majoring in biology with a minor in chemistry. Even though my degree isn't centered around physics, I have found a great interest in this branch of science. I have found many ways that I could apply what I have learned in every day life, which I find super cool. I enjoy nail art, k-pop, Taekwondo, and gaming; so I would love to talk to you about any of your interests as well as my own! I look forward to working with you guys! Let's have a great semester!

Heyo! I am a Senior on the Biology Pre-medicine track. I love going to the gym, hiking, and making armor builds in my free time. I'm a huge nerd so let me know if you have any anime or manga recommendations! Can't wait to work with y'all this semester.
John Kauffman (004, 006, APL-001)
I'm a junior level Physics major and have been at CU Denver for four years now. I started off in Mechanical Engineering but after taking the core Physics classes, decided that it seemed more interesting to me (no hate to MechE). Lucky enough to be from Colorado but don't go camping as much as I should. The toughest lesson I've almost learned is that a lot of course content can be difficult to digest, so please don't hesitate to ask others for assistance. It will save a lot of time and stress.
Liam Clevenger (002, 003, 008)
I am a post-baccalaureate student with a background in Integrative Physiology and Spanish. I enjoy working with students and serving as a supportive resource as they navigate challenging material. Outside of academics, I work in a clinical ICU setting, which has strengthened my ability to communicate clearly, stay calm under pressure, and approach learning with a practical, real-world perspective. In my free time, I enjoy fitness, cooking, and spending time outdoors.
Michelle Majumdar (001, 007)
