Alondra Dominguez
I am a pre dental student majoring in Psychology with minors in Biology and Business. I became an LA because I enjoy helping students feel more confident in what they’re learning and creating a welcoming space where they feel comfortable asking questions. Outside of school, I love spending time with friends and family, traveling, and trying new things. Nichole Gutierrez
I am a senior graduating at the end of this semester with my Bachelor's in Human Development and Family Relations. As a returning LA, I am bringing experience supporting students with anxiety, academic overwhelm, and STEM-related challenges using a trauma- informed approach and a student-centered approach. I have contributed to building a school-wide resource guide for students with students in mind. As a parent and a future social worker, I strive for clear communication, empathy, and collaborative problem-solving, and I look forward to helping the New and Returning LAs.
Edwin
I am a graduating at the end of spring ‘27. I’m on the pre-med track, but I’m actually aiming for veterinary school. As a returning LA and one of the new Lead LAs, I hope to help new and returning LAs grow as STEM educators while building confidence in their own abilities and STEM identities. I just founded a research literature club to create a space where students can develop their scientific literacy and engage with research beyond the classroom, so feel free to reach out if you’re interested.
My approach as an LA is rooted in the pedagogy course and the idea that teaching is a skill we continually develop. I hope to encourage LAs to use what they learn as a foundation for supporting their peers while also growing personally and professionally. We live in busy and often chaotic times, so I strive to be one of many pillars of support alongside my fellow Lead LAs and LA staff, helping make your experience as an LA both meaningful and manageable. I look forward to working with all of you this year!
