Eligible Applicants Must:

be undergraduate students who have been successful in the class they are assigned. It’s fine to be an LA for a course outside your major, as long as you excelled in the course.

be available to work an estimated 7-9 hours per week. You will attend ALL lectures for the course, and also hold help sessions outside of class. Additionally, LAs in each course meet as team weekly.

take the LA weekly workshop (if you are a new LA). The weekly pedagogy workshop for new LAs meets in-person. There are two in-person sections of the pedagogy workshop:

SCED 4050-001 Tuesdays/Thursdays from 11:30 am - 12:20 pm.

SCED 4050-002 Tuesdays/Thursdays from 2:00 – 2:50 pm

If you can’t attend the pedagogy weekly workshop as a new LA, then you cannot be an LA this semester.
- attend the LA orientation which is held the week before the classes begin.
