Hey there!
I’m a freshman working on my B.A. in Public Health, after studying Psychology and Theology. My big goal is to get into nursing school!
I totally get how intimidating chemistry can feel—whether you haven’t touched it in years or are seeing it for the first time. But trust me, anyone can learn it! I’d love to help you out and make the journey a little less scary (and maybe even fun).

Hi guys, I am a sophomore on the pre-med track and I’m really excited to be one of your LAs this semester. A little about me is I’m Jamaican, I love to cook (and will try any cuisine at least once), and I’m obsessed with learning about other cultural cuisines. Chemistry can feel confusing at first, but that doesn’t mean you’re “bad at it.” It just means your brain is still getting used to the language. With practice, patience, and the support you’ll get from me and the other LAs, it will start to click. You’re not doing this alone we’re literally here to help you get it.
Can't wait to meet you!!

Hi, everyone! I am a junior majoring in biochemistry on the pre-med track. Chemistry is such a fascinating topic to dive into, as it applies to everything around us—from cooking breakfast and baking tasty treats to describing how different medicines work in the body. I'm super excited to help you all build some foundational knowledge in chemistry. Outside of class, I love to read fantasy (I'm always returning to The Kingkiller Chronicles), exercise, and get up to the mountains to hike, ski, or camp.

Hi everyone! I’m a transfer student majoring in Integrative Biology with a minor in Chemistry, planning to graduate in the next couple of semesters. My time living and traveling in parts of Asia has inspired me to pursue graduate studies there and explore environmental science from a global perspective. I’m currently doing research through CU Denver’s EURēCA! program on how UV light affects aerosol chemistry in high-altitude environments with Dr. Liu. I also serve on the CLAS Academic Standards Committee and volunteer at a local observatory.
As a new Learning Assistant, I’m excited to help make chemistry more approachable and connected to the real world!

Hi!
I am going into my last year at CU Denver and I am currently majoring in Biology on the premed track. My plans are hopefully to take a gap year working clinical jobs and then go into NP or PA school. I love hanging out with friends and going to Bible studies and I love the Denver Nuggets! It is so worth watching the NBA season with them if you have the chance.
I have enjoyed Dr. Kim so much in biochem, and I feel like it was definitely one of my favorite classes. Going into biochem can definitely seem a little daunting at first, at least that is how I felt, especially after surviving the trenches of Ochem (don't worry, the professors are awesome), but trust me, you guys got this!
If you guys need support or have any questions, let me and especially Dr. Kim know. We have your back and we're here to help you guys succeed. I promise to give you guys my best, so that you guys can get through and hopefully love this class just like I did!
