I’m a transfer student (so have no idea where i fit lol). I am currently working on my B.A. in Public Health on a pre nursing track with the goal of going into nursing next summer.
I totally get how intimidating chemistry can feel—whether you haven’t touched it in years or are seeing it for the first time. But trust me, anyone can learn it! I’d love to help you out and make the journey a little less scary (and maybe even fun).

Hi, everyone! I am a senior majoring in biochemistry on the pre-med track. I'm here to help you all succeed, whether it's in this class or in college overall. It's my second semester LAing for Dr. Sabo, so please don't be afraid to ask me any questions relating to the class structure or what exams look like. I am a Junior majoring in Biochemistry. I really enjoy chemistry and am excited to return as an LA. My ultimate goal in life is to do research, I don't have a specific field but I'm leaning towards medical research. After I graduate I plan on moving abroad to Germany and continuing my education there. During my free time I enjoy coaching Aerial Dance and lounging with my cat Bermuda.
I took Majors General Chemistry 1 in my first semester here at CU Denver and I understand how difficult of a transition it can be. I am a Junior and I am a Psychology major on the Pre-Nursing track. This is my second time as an LA, but my first time being an LA for Dr. Shoup! Chemistry can be a difficult course to take, but know that Dr. Shoup and the LAs are always here to help you and want you to succeed. I took Gen Chem 1 at Oregon State University, but I have learned lots of skills to help me succeed that I am happy to share with you all. In my free time, I love to read, dance, go on runs, listen to music, and hang out with friends and family. I also love going to the aquarium and my favorite animal is a turtle.

Hey there! I'm Jason Chan, a New York City native with a passion for both engineering and medicine. I hold a BS in Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering from SUNY Buffalo and an MS in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Florida, and I've had the privilege of putting that knowledge to work at Raytheon and Lockheed Martin.
These days, I'm on an exciting new path by completing a post-baccalaureate program on my way to medical school.
Outside of work and studies, I'm all over the place in the best way: you'll find me on the volleyball court, scaling climbing walls, swimming laps, lifting weights, hiking trails, cooking up something new in the kitchen, or getting lost in a good book or movie. I love learning, staying active, and connecting with people who are just as driven and curious as I am.
