Hi everyone! I’m a junior majoring in Biology on the pre-med track. This is my second time being a Learning Assistant and my first time serving as an LA for this course, and I’m very excited to contribute to your learning. This course covers a variety of important concepts that can help you discover which areas of biology interest you most. I’m particularly interested in diagnosis and the kind of integrative thinking involved in understanding complex biological systems. In my free time, I enjoy listening to piano pieces, reading novels, and going on walks. I know staying on top of the material can sometimes feel stressful, so I’m here to support you. Feel free to reach out with any questions!

Hello everyone! This is the start of my final year. I’m on the pre-med track, but I’ve decided to pursue a career in veterinary medicine and wildlife conservation. This is my first semester as an LA for Biology, but I was an LA for Chemistry II last semester. I’ve taken several classes with Dr. Kelso, so you’re in great hands. I enjoy getting involved on campus, so I’m familiar with many of the resources available to students. I also recently started a research literature club to help students explore scientific research together. If you have questions about the course, studying, or campus resources, don’t hesitate to reach out, I’m always happy to help!

Hello! I am in the Allied and Professional Health Sciences Post Baccalaureate program and received my B.Sc. in Applied Biological Sciences with a minor in chemistry. I have taken a few of classes with Dr. Beck and this is my second semester as an LA for one of her courses. I have worked in various teaching and tutoring roles in all different sciences, so I obviously really enjoy teaching and learning with others. But, outside of that, I also like to be with friends and family, traveling, and doing some retail therapy. Human Physiology is definitely one of the more intense but fascinating courses I have taken and I am excited to be here, I hope you all are too.

I graduated in Spring '26 with a degree in Integrative Biology. My academic interests are mainly aligned with science education and microbial ecology/evolution. Although I am not enrolled in a degree-seeking graduate program at CU, I am using my time here to gather more experience and round out my technical skills! I've taken several classes & independent studies with Dr. Mosier, and I'm quite familiar with her instruction style. There's a lot to learn in this class, but it's really just applying a bit of everything (evolution, ecology, genetics, pathology, cell biology, biochemistry...) in a microbial context. Outside of school, I enjoy travelling, reading, and playing games with friends.
