You are likely aware that the coronavirus is now considered a world-wide pandemic, with cases in Colorado increasing quickly. Public health officials are advising that even stronger mitigation actions be taken.
The CU Denver Health Professions Programs Office has already undertaken a number of steps to keep our community safe by limiting people-to-people contact. As of today (March 13, 2020), there have been updated decisions made by the CU Denver Administrative Team regarding how we handle remote teaching and learning and meetings and events.
It is strongly encouraged that all meetings, including student appointments be conducted remotely starting Monday, March 16th. In response to this directive, the Health Professions Programs Office will suspend all walk-in advising hours and in place offer 20 minute remote advising sessions. Additionally, we will continue to offer regular advising sessions, ranging from 30 minutes to an hour. Please see our updated advising schedule where you will find each individual’s office hours and information on how you can request an appointment moving forward. Please note that Dr. Brooks will begin his updated office hour schedule on Monday, March 30th.
In order to facilitate planning and eliminate as much uncertainty as possible, the Health Professions Programs Office will continue remote advising for the entirety of the spring 2020 semester. Updates will be posted on our webpage and we will send new information out via the listserv as it becomes available. Thank you in advance for your patience as we navigate this challenging situation one day at a time to best serve you.
