Geography + Environmental Science

I’m a Geography student with strong interest in GIS and other geo technology matters, my background lies strongly in the field of Urban Geography and Economic Geography. Through the use of GIS I seek to understand how our cities came together and how transportation works to connect our urban systems. For the past research interests have been the city of São Paulo, Brazil where I try to analyze the connection between city and transportation network, open-source platforms to expand the reach and potential of GIS, and how web applications can improve our analysis and visualization of historical geographies. Additionally I have a growing interest in the field of relational databases as a way to empower the regular methods in GIS.
