Kyra Odom received double Bachelor’s degrees from Arizona State University. After that, she spent time working in corporate training, where she taught job skills and management skills. It gave her the opportunity to travel the United States and the world. However, she decided to go back to school to earn a Master’s in Linguistics and Graduate Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from San Jose State University in California because she enjoys working with diverse students, loves languages and culture, and wanted to work part-time so she would have time for her family. She has been teaching English at colleges and universities for almost 10 years. Although most of her time outside of teaching is spent with her husband and two young children, Kyra also enjoys reading, writing, yoga, and ice skating.
