Are you Science Fair ready?
Science Fair season is among us! As we prepare for fair day, keep in mind some key logstics to ensure your fair day is as smooth as possible!
Day of Fair Schedule

What to Bring
- Your poster and all related materials for judging - See our 2026 Materials Guide for details
- Comfy Shoes - There is a lot of standing and walking on science fair day… leave those brand-new dress shoes and heels at home or plan to bring a backup!
- A reusable water bottle - in the interest of sustainability, we will not be providing single-use plastic water bottles. Compostable cups and filling stations will be available throughout the venue. We ask that you bring your own reusable water bottle as well.
Students, plan to pack a lunch or explore campus
To help us keep DMRSEF running sustainably and to better accommodate a wide variety of dietary restrictions, as well as to adapt to participant feedback over the past several years, we are updating our meal plan for the day of the fair. This year, we will continue to provide a light breakfast for all students, so our participants can start the morning energized, connected, and ready for a great day of science, but we will not be serving student (or chaperone) lunch.
Students are encouraged to either bring a lunch from home or take advantage of the great dining options on the Auraria campus. The DMRSEF team will provide a food options map and guide so it’s easy to navigate and choose something that works for you, should you choose not to pack a lunch! Thank you for your understanding as we make adjustments that support a smooth, accessible, and enjoyable fair experience for all students.
Not a participant but want to check out this year's projects?
A quiet public viewing time of the project gallery will be offered for teachers, family, friends, and community members during the final hour of judging, from 4:00-5:00 pm. We ask that, during this time, all guests remain respectful of the ongoing interview process.
