Our Start to Science Fair
Every year, the Denver Metro Regional Science and Engineering Fair welcomes hundreds of students across the eight metro Denver counties. We aim to support, grow and diversify the fair community with the goal to inspire the next generation of STEM leaders. We work all year with members of our community to make this fair possible and provide students with year-long support as they prepare to show us what being a scientist means to them.

Community Advisory Council
The DMRSEF Community Advisory Council brings together fair alumni, parents, teachers, community organizations, and partners to strengthen our commitment to diversifying the DMRSEF community and bringing new voices to the table as we map out the future of our fair. Community Advisory Council meetings are held quarterly and provide a source of inspiration as council members envision new avenues to expand the reach of the fair.
Student Advisory Council
The Student Advisory Council (SAC) is a group of passionate students dedicated to the Denver Metro Regional Science and Engineering Fair. They meet monthly with the DMRSEF directors, acting as the bridge between students and the fair. Their goal is to ensure all students can participate in the fair and aim to make resources equitable and accessible to students across the Denver Metro area.

Ever year, the Denver Metro Regional Science and Engineering Fair showcases the scientific innovations of students across the eight districts of Denver and what being a scientist means to them. Every year, an impact report is created to reflect and highlight the fair and all the accomplishments of its attendants. These reports mark the achievements of our young scientists and celebrate their innovation and problem-solving; Every year, without fail, they remind us: This is what a scientist looks like.
