Angie has been working above and beyond her duties and have been my amazing mentor since I came to CLAS.
Julie has been an invaluable support to the Math department for many years. Her ability to complete projects with clarity and accuracy is truly commendable. Drawing upon her extensive experience, she has become a valuable resource for policy and practice, enhancing the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the math team. Julie accomplishes all of this with kindness and respect, making her an outstanding asset to our department. Thank you, Julie, for your continued dedication and excellence.
Carrie has been consistently patient and supportive as the staff navigates the various hoops of HR and HCM processes. Her dedication to making these processes smoother for everyone is truly commendable. Thank you, Carrie, for your ongoing support!
Cassie is a thoughtful colleague who regularly asks questions to help folx think about how we can be better. She also has stepped up to fill staffing gaps and also initiated initiatives to mentor our student employees.
Jaime has had several roles in CLAS and in all of them her focus has been on make sure students have what they need to be successful. What I appreciate about Jaimie is that she is always willing to help a student. Last semester I was working with a student who was concerned about the cost to finish her last semester at CU Denver and Jaimie was able connect the student with resources to help her cover her final semester.
Erick has been a great team member and coworker as he is always willing to answer any questions or be available when needed. I've witnessed Erick's interaction with students which have led to great advisee/advisor relationships and students feel very comfortable around him.
Monica has been an invaluable member of our team, graciously and efficiently providing HR Support . Her dedication and efficiency have made her a real asset to our team, and we are grateful for her contributions. I have had the pleasure of working with Monica since she started at CLAS. She is always willing to help out and answer questions no matter what they are. Anytime I communicate with her she is always so friendly and kind. I am so glad Monica is a part of CLAS. She definitely deserves a shout out!
Jenny started in February as our second CLAS Academic Advisor in Beijing for the International College Beijing (ICB) program. She hit the ground running and has taken initiative to make improvements to our online platforms and get students more engaged with advising. She has been a great addition to the team and I am excited to continue working with her.
Karen serves as the invaluable right hand to the dean. We appreciate her support, communications and coordination efforts. Her dedication and effectiveness in her role are indispensable to the smooth operations of the college.
Alex is a warrior for students and staff. He goes to battle for our students accounts every semester. Attempting to get our tuition support payments processed without delay and correctly. He worked to attempt to find a solution for professional development support. He is kind and patient even when we are frustrated with issues. He is the asset we need to do our jobs effectively!!
Kim is always available and responsive. When something is needed, she jumps in to get it done. She goes above and beyond the requirements of her job to create personal connections with students, faculty, and staff.
Jess provides leadership in several areas for CLAS advising including updates to how we support students through New Student Orientation. She also helps organize social events and celebrations for our office. She is an excellent advisor and appreciate her intentionality, especially in how she communicates with students to create a welcoming environment.
Phoebe is one of the first people students connect with when they visit the CLAS Advising office and she makes sure students have a positive experience with us. If a student needs help she makes sure they get an answer or are connected with someone who can help them. She also does so much to make sure the office runs smoothly like managing student check ins and processing the many forms that our submitted to our office.
Megan remains an indispensable asset to our college. Her patience, dedication, and depth of knowledge are truly commendable. We consistently rely on her to offer guidance and support whenever needed, and her contributions are invaluable to our team.
Christine Lukvec is invaluable in the Economics department where she works as the program assistant. Her remarkable work ethic ensures that both students and faculty can rely on her for support at any moment, fostering an environment of trust and reliability. Christine consistently goes above and beyond to assist, proactively seeking out solutions to challenges before they become issues, demonstrating her commitment with our department and the University. Her dedication has significantly enhanced the experiences of our students and faculty, making our educational environment more enriching and supportive.
Michelle keeps the department running smoothly. Her positive attitude and amazing competence makes working in the department a pleasure. She is the heartbeat of the department.
Brigid is a great coworker who is always willing to jump in and help out when needed. Brigid is great with students, always providing great and information sessions. This year Brigid has been the sole First-Year Advisor for CLAS. This means that she is supporting all first-year students in the college which has been a big undertaking. Despite working with so many students she always finds time to be available for students. she is also a great colleague to run ideas by and brainstorm best ways to communicate with students.
Stephanie has been an exceptional asset to the College, particularly in her dedicated care for the graduate program students. Her commitment to helping departments keep track of these students across various programs is truly commendable. Beyond her job description, Stephanie's in-depth knowledge of processes allows her to provide direction and support that goes above and beyond. Her contribution has been instrumental in ensuring the success and smooth operation of our graduate programs.
Mika is just the best! She brings an inquisitive spirit, a great attitude and new ideas! We are so happy she joined our team!
Joanna is always available to help any student when they need it. She is very good at knowing when to help and when to refer someone elsewhere, and has a huge amount of knowledge of the campus at her disposal. Regardless, she is always willing to help and takes a sympathetic attitude towards everyone she works with.
In a few short years, Angie has become the real heart and soul of our department. She has brought optimistic new energy to all our work, she has organized so many of our processes for better efficiency, she has managed a new dept. newsletter, and she has organized all sorts of regular department events. She is a bright and cheery force in all our meetings, she offers warm support to our students, and she is a self-starting go-getter who is always thinking of new ways to improve the Department. We are exceptionally lucky to have her leadership and creativity in our program!
Pam is an amazing support to the department staff. Always kind, supportive and solution driven. She has been solve issues timely and is always the focus and positive relations. We can not successfully do our jobs with out Pam!
Aman has become invaluable to CLAS. He is incredibly helpful and will go out of his way to give you the assistance you need. To top it off, he always does so with a smile on his face. Aman deserves a shout out for the amazing work he does! Aman has provided excellent IT support to the Sociology (and many other) departments. He is approachable, helpful, responsive and generally outstanding in his role. CLAS is fortunate to have him. Thank you Tewolde!
