About Jennalee
Jennalee received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Neuroscience and in Integrative Physiology from the University of Colorado, Boulder. She holds a Master’s degree in Psychology, with an emphasis in Mental and Physical Health Research from San Diego State University. She is interested in understanding the interaction between physiological and psychological factors as they relate to health behaviors and outcomes in populations with chronic illnesses.
Jennalee graduated from the Clinical Health Psychology PhD program in 2018. Her dissertation was entitled, “A couples-based approach to physical activity intervention in patients with Type 2 diabetes”. She completed her clinical internship at VA Palo Alto Health Care System in the Behavioral Medicine track and post-doctoral fellowship at VA San Diego Healthcare System/University of California San Diego (UCSD) in Clinical Research. She is currently Assistant Professor in the department of Psychiatry at UCSD and Clinical Psychologist at VA San Diego Healthcare system. Her program of research focuses on social factors that influence health behaviors and psychosocial aspects of chronic medication conditions. She can be reached at jewooldridge@health.ucsd.edu.
