For Students:

After you submit the form, your request will be reviewed on the monthly review date and you will receive either an email with additional questions or further instructions if your public-facing project is approved.
For more information on protected data and working with sensitive information:
- Institutional Review Board (IRB)
- Personally Identifiable Information (PII)
- Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)
- Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)
For Faculty & Staff:
As an experienced member of our researching community here on Auraria campus, we know you’ve carefully considered the information available in your project. We trust that any sensitive information about human subjects available in your StoryMap or other access points has passed through an IRB process. The Auraria Geospatial working group will review submitted projects as a secondary check that available data doesn’t violate such laws as FERPA or put endangered resources at peril. We will then respond with an approval or any questions we might have. If approved, there is nothing further you’ll need to do! We will place a copy of your project as it presently stands in our showcase account for public access.
