Bryce Westheimer is a Postdoctoral Fellow working in the groups of Professors Emilie Guidez and Hai Lin. Bryce obtained his Doctorate in Physical Chemistry from Iowa State University, working under the mentorship of Mark S. Gordon as a member of the Ames National Laboratory, with a focus on fragment-based theoretical quantum chemistry. During his graduate studies he was the recipient of multiple fellowship awards, including the Molecular Sciences Software Institute (MolSSI) Investment Fellowship, as well as multiple institutional merit awards, including the Klaus Ruedenberg Theoretical Chemistry Award. Bryce's work focuses on the further development of theoretical methods and models for multi-layer adaptive partitioning, as well as high-performance computing software development in order to enable large-scale simulations utilizing the adaptive partitioning methods on existing and upcoming accelerator-driven computer architectures.
