Granting Editing Access For Particular Pages

You can grant users editing access to particular pages on your site. This would mean that a user could edit the page you grant them access to, but not have access to edit anything else on the site. However, there are limitations to this:

  • You can only grant access to person pages and basic pages.  For example, giving a faculty member access to edit their own person page.
  • Only one user can be given access to a page. All Content Editors and Site Owners will still have editing access.
  • Users can only edit the pages they have been given access to. They cannot create or place blocks, add files, etc.

Find the user name of the user you are granting access

Once the user has accepted your invite and logged into the site you can find their user name. Just click 'User' in the Express menu and you will see a list of all the users and their roles on your site. If the user name doesn't look familiar, you can search by name or email address.
