Job Class: Graduate Assistant
Pay Range $19.80-$21.80/hr
Starting January 20th 2026, Ending May 15th 2026
For a maximum of 20 hours per week
Job description: Assistant Professor in the Physics department seeking student to assist in the calculation of asymmetry parameters from photoelectron kinetic energy distributions. The student will be required to write small segments of code, perform calculations on supercomputers, and analyze data. The student may also be required to prepare written documentation and give oral / poster presentations of their work.
Minimum requirements: Experience with the RMT code and high-performance computing. Proficient in at least one programming language. Taken and passed undergraduate Quantum Mechanics.
Preferred requirements: Strong written communication skills and oral communication skills. MATLAB or FORTRAN programming experience. Work study awardees preferred.
