The History Department would like to congratulate graduate student in Public History, Samantha Martinelli, on her graduation and on her new role as the Collections Care and Research Specialist at the International Tennis Hall of Fame in Rhode Island. She started working there as a Collections Management Intern in 2025 and then was hired on full-time.
Samantha received her bachelor’s degree in history from Yale University where she played on the varsity tennis team and was the first person in the history of that team to be named an All-American. After working at Telluride Ski & Golf as a Head Tennis Professional, Samantha began studying toward an MA in Public History.
In her time at the University of Colorado Denver, Samantha contributed her expertise to multiple organizations. She volunteered with the Black American West Museum and interned with History Colorado.
